BSNL 4G+ services

Hyderabad, April 25: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on Monday launched it's commercial 4G plus Wi-Fi services in Telangana.
while going to matter. Chief General Manager, Telecom (CGMT) L Anantharam said that the BSNL has proposed to install 925 access points across 121 hotspot zones within two-and-half months period in Telangana.
Of them, five such sites were radiating at Maitrivanam, Kamineni Hospitals L B Nagar, Kamineni Hospitals Koti, RTDC, Gachibowli and DTO Koti.
"This service is useful for existing BSNL mobile subscribers to avail higher speeds whenever they come across these hotspot zones", he said.
He said that the BSNL 3G subscribers would get higher data speeds in these hotspot zones and faster downloads at 4G plus speeds would be possible. "For prepaid subscribers of BSNL, charges will be deducted from their existing accounts".
Mr Anantharam said that the walk-in subscribers of BSNL and other operators would be taken to the Wi-Fi portal for recharging their account and one time registration whenever they approach the hotspot zone.
He added that the BSNL has to activate about 2 lakh new SIMS every month in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
