Two women held, for Gold Smuggling

Hyderabad, April 21: The customs officials of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) were arrested two women passengers at Shamshabad for allegedly possessing 2.366Kgs gold biscuits worth over Rs.75 lakhs on Wednesday night.

The Sources said that, the women had come from Jeddah and were supposed to hand over the gold smuggled by them to a person in Hyderabad.One old woman had 2Kgs of gold and another woman had 366gms of gold were recovered from them.

In the process of searching gold receivers, women were caught by the customs officials on Wednesday night.However, they were intercepted and arrested.

The customs officials are inquired the women to get more information about the contacts to whom they were supposed to hand over the gold here.
