A 1 month camp of New civilization methods for women

Chennai, April 17: A 30-day summer camp has been organized by Aval Team, an NGO, which will train its participants on improving the living conditions of women in slums.
The one month camp will be organized in the slums of Besant Nagar, Saidapet, Kasimedu, Ramapuram and Vyasarpadi, a statement from the NGO said.
In each slum, the each group will focus on training its participants in the key factor of improving the living condition of women.
According to the statement, in Besant Nagar, the participants will be trained on the importance of education for the slum dwelling women.
The Ramapuram session will be focused on widow welfare, Saidapet session will include health care, Kasimedu will impart knowledge about women's rights and the Vyasarpadi session will introduce the participants to issues pertaining to sexual harassment.
The camp will be held between April 14 and May 14. The organization also conducted a documentary screening in the five slums on Friday.
