One held for smuggling ketamine

Hyderabad April 16: Air Intelligence Unit police of the customs department arrested a narcotics peddler trying to smuggle out 5.924 kg ketamine worth Rs 2.37 crore from the Ragin Gandhi International Airport (RGI) to Malaysia on Saturday.

Customs officials intercepted the smuggler while he was about to board MH 0199 flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Saturday with 5.924 kg ketamine concealed in his baggage.

"The accused wrapped ketamine into plastic pouches and kept them in small tins branded as turmeric and vermilion," a customs official said.
