Telugu scientists awarded by President

New Delhi, April 13: Two Telugu scientists were horned by President with the award Government of India conferred the national geoscience award.
Senior scientists A. Markandeyulu from Guntur, and Veldi Ramesh Babu from Hyderabad, of the Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research (AMD), Department of Atomic Energy.
The award would be presented by President Pranab Mukherjee on April 12 at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.
The award was in recognition of their significant contributions in the field of geophysics and applied geophysics, a press release said.
As members of Airborne Surveys and Remote Sensing (ASRS) Group of AMD, they applied advanced high resolution heliborne geophysical surveys for exploration of concealed uranium deposits in the country.
