GHMC officials continued the raids on Hotel

Hyderabad April 12: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials have continued the raids on the hotels, and sizing the hotels which were not following rules.

On Tuesday, fines amounting to more than 1 lakh were imposed on the eateries for using inferior or unstamped meat and also for maintaining Un hygiene standards in the cooking area.

Out of the 34 hotels inspected by the health and sanitation officials, 18 were found to be violating rules.

An upmarket restaurant in Jubilee Hills was fined the maximum amount of the day which was 30,000 Rs.



The United Kitchens of India was slapped with the fine for procurement of unstamped meat and also for unhygienic conditions inside the kitchen.

Raghavendra Tiffin Centre in Kukatpally was fined 20,000 and Fifth Avenue bakery in Sainikpuri was asked to cough up 5,000. Siddi restaurant in Malkajgiri was fined 15,000 and Leo multi cuisine restaurant has imposed a fine of 10,000.

Royal palace hotel in Punjagutta was fined 20,000. As on Tuesday, the total fines imposed on hotels since last few days stood at around 10 lakh.
