Skin bank? Donor to receiver

April 03: I think so, you might be heard about the organ donation after death. And till now, we know that there is an eye donation, which is going on after the human's death.

As similar to eyes, from now, a skin donation process will come into existence, which is done with the acceptance of family members.

Soon after the death, it is possible to take out the skin within the first 6 hours. This takes 30-40 minutes for completion and insists the age limit of above 18 yrs.

The people who do belong to the skin bank will approach the dead body where it is placed. It might be home (or) hospital (or) Mortuary.

Skin is taken only from the thighs, that's it. The received skin will be placed under the fixed temperature in the span of 2-5 years.

People who insist HIV, Hepatitis, Skin cancer, Skin diseases, venereal diseases are not supposed to donate their skin.

Blood group is never bothered in skin donation. The skin which is implanted to the receiver will be under the supervision of doctors until 4 weeks in order to prevent the infections.
