A man held for cheating gulf aspirants

Hyderabad, March 30: Now a days, Most of the job aspirants has been betrayed by some cheaters, who are saying that, there are more job offers and they allot to them.

While coming to matter, The Chardarghat Police has filed a case for cheating job aspirants allegedly duped dozens of Gulf aspirants of several lakhs promising them visas to Gulf countries.

The suspect, Md Yousufuddin, attracted youths looking for a job by placing advertisements in English and Telugu dailies.

All candidates were asked to pay Rs 80,000 to Rs 1 lakh as visa charges. After a few weeks, Yousufuddin closed down his office and went absconding. One of the victims, M.A Raheem, in his petition said that he had called the agent seeing his advertisement in an English daily.

“The advertisement said 'Urgently required salesmen,supervisors for supermarket in Saudi Arabia. The minimum qualification mentioned was SSC pass. When I contacted him he asked me to deposit money for visa and ticket,” the victim said in his complaint.

After Raheem deposited the money he did not get any response from the suspect, and he soon realised he had been cheated. Similarly, many other people were also cheated in this manner.

Chaderghat police, who started an investigation, said they are waiting for more victims to approach the law. The police has registered an FIR and has booked a cheating case (IPC-420) against Yousufuddin. But the cops have not yet made any arrests so far.
