TS govt want more revenue from

Hyderabad, March 23: The Telangana State government has planning to collect the Rs.20 crores from the excise department.They want to raise the huge no. of liquor shops along with prices of liquors, license fees and ready to hike the selling taxes also.

In the present financial year, The state treasury got collected Rs.13,000 crores.In the new budget, the estimations have raised up to 50%.The decision of additionally collecting Rs.7000 crores of Income is the main observable aspect.

In the statewide, There are 2,144 liquor shops are still running, which have to expire their licenses after September 30.

The govt want to get the more revenue, then it has to hike the no. of liquor shops, want prices of wines and license fees also. It wants to get the revenue from foreign wines, Presently, it has collected Rs 4447 crores from foreign wines.It was thought that to expand the foreign wine and estimate the revenue of Rs.8210 crores.

After selling tax income, another way to get revenue was from excise department, which has including excise duty, lease, excise VAT, and privilege taxes.

After the verdict of Supreme court,which has stated that There should be no liquor shops and wines in the national highways.

But, the Wine shop owners said that in that case we will face so many loss of business.They all are concerned about this aspect.If it will be implemented, There revenue from liquor shops will greatly effect.
