Hyderabad, March 21: Technology has come a long way and often helps in speeding up cumbersome paperwork. For this purpose, the police officials introduced the e-petty cases.

"The E-Petty case system, we can now identify repeat offenders as well. Once a person’s name is entered into the tab, his past antecedents, if any, will also show on the tablet," said one of the police officials.

"It is used to book cases along with evidence as well. Before this, there were chances that in petty cases impersonators would appear instead of the accused," police said.

E-Petty case initiative had started in other PS limits in Hyderabad much earlier in 2016.They have been filed the 500 cases in the academic year 2016-2017
