Greater Hyderabadi citizens to get LEDs

Hyderabad, March 20: In order to save the Power consumption, GHMC has given the subsidy led lights to the Hyderabadi citizens, previously they gave the led lights 2 lakhs people.

Now they are combined in association with women's organization for giving led lights to the subsidy.

while going to matter, A workshop on conservation of energy and utilization of LED bulbs in households was held under the chairmanship of GHMC commissioner B Janardhan Reddy here on Sunday.

The GHMC has created a forum for creating awareness about energy conservation by promoting LEDs in place of conventional lights by inviting the suppliers, energy analysts and residential welfare associations (RWAs), and electrical engineers of GHMC and Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana (TSSPDCL) to discussions on the conservation of energy in households.

PN Rao and Gopal Krishna from the Institute of Engineers made a PowerPoint presentation on the conservation of energy.

The glow of a 9-watt LED bulb is equivalent to a 60/100-watt incandescent bulb and an 18-watt LED tube light to a 40-watt fluorescent tube light. By using LEDs, energy can be saved by 60 percent and the electricity bill reduced.
