KTR directed the MC of Karimnagar turned into e-office

Karimnagar, March 19: The Telangana Minister for Municipal Administration and IT K. Taraka Rama Rao has been taken a step forward lead, and in order to check corruption and ensure accountability and transparency in the performance of employees, ordered the Municipal corporation of Karimnagar to converted into e-office.

KTR and the Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration (CDMA), the MCK turned into an e-office with the support of National Informatics Centre (NIC). The MCK authorities have been trained on theory aspects and now getting hand-on training on the process.



Talking to The Hindu here on Wednesday, Municipal Commissioner K. Shashanka said that the e-office would ensure paperless, efficient, transparent governance where there would be little scope for unnecessary delays and the proceedings of whole office would be available for information.

He said that the e-office would ensure that there was no dating back of the files and ensure accountability.

Stating that they had given digital signatures to all the permanent employees to discharge their duties through e-office, he pointed out that currently they were working on 25 computers and they would soon add another 20 machines.

The MCK has young employees and they would overcome all hurdles and ensure smooth functioning of the e-office, he said.

Now, the people can also lodge their compliant through online by clicking www.mckarimnagar.in, he said and added that they were planning to develop an integrated App to help the people lodge complaints through their mobile phones and also pay property tax and water bills through mobile phone.

Formally, the e-office was launched from the Town Planning Department. Now, the building permissions would be given only through online in a time-bound manner by using e-office.
