Aishwarya Rai father passes away

Mumbai March 18: Bollywood Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's father Krishnaraj Rai passed away in Mumbai on Saturday. He has hospitalized a few weeks ago due to health-related issues, a family friend confirmed to media

Aishwarya cut short her trip to Dubai as soon as her father was admitted to a hospital in suburban Mumbai. Abhishek Bachchan also rushed back from New York to be by his father-in-law's side.



A steady stream of visitors had turned up to pay their visits to the hospital. According to reports, Rai continued to be in a critical state throughout his stay and there was an only minor improvement in his condition.

Krishnaraj Rai had faced similar health problems in January this year when he was admitted to the same hospital. He is survived by wife Vrinda, son Aditya, and daughter Aishwarya
